Bookkeeper (WFH, Morning Shift)
Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping for Australian clients using Xero, including day-to-day transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare BAS/IAS statements accurately and on time.
- Handle payroll processing in Xero; TANDA experience is a bonus but not essential.
- Ensure all bookkeeping tasks comply with Australian accounting standards and internal policies.
- Work directly with Australian-based managers to support smooth financial operations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in bookkeeping and reporting workflows.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding financial matters.
- Support audit preparation and respond to queries from clients or external auditors.
- Use Dext (if applicable) to manage bills, invoices, and expense tracking.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years Australian Xero bookkeeping experience in a multi-client firm (5+ years preferred).
- Experience in BAS/IAS preparation.
- Payroll experience in Xero.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with Australian managers.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized.
Experience Advantage
- Dext experience (ideal but not essential).
- Experience with Karbon practice management software.
