About the Role
The Accountant – FP&A is responsible for supporting the organisation’s financial planning cycle, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality financial insights, project financials, and decision support for senior leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Forecasting
Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate business
performance, cost drivers, and revenue trends.
Collaborate with business units to ensure accurate planning inputs and assumptions.
Management Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly management reports including variance analysis vs budget/forecast/prior year.
Analyse financial performance across revenue, margins, operating expenses, and working capital.
Identify key business trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
Project Financial Management
Support financial oversight of major projects, including project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.
Monitor project performance (budget vs actual), report deviations, and assist Project Managers to improve financial outcomes.
Perform scenario modelling for project proposals, business cases, and investment decisions.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance, and reporting requirements for project financials.
Data & Systems
Maintain and improve FP&A models, dashboards, and reporting templates.
Work closely with Finance Systems or IT teams to enhance automation and ensure data accuracy.
Contribute to the standardisation of financial processes and reporting tools.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with operational leaders to provide clear financial insights that guide decision-making.
Present analytical findings to finance leadership, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.
Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting principles.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
Project Skills (Core Requirement)
Experience managing or supporting financials for large projects or transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of project costing, revenue recognition, and financial controls.
Ability to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and ensure accurate project reporting.
Skilled in risk identification, scenario planning, and financial impact assessments.
Ability to work with cross-functional project teams (finance, operations, IT).
Behavioural Skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset.
Collaborative, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA preferred.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and FP&A processes.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g.,
SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

On-site, Clark Office
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
