About the Role

The Accountant – FP&A is responsible for supporting the organisation’s financial planning cycle, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality financial insights, project financials, and decision support for senior leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

• Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate business

• performance, cost drivers, and revenue trends.

• Collaborate with business units to ensure accurate planning inputs and assumptions.

Management Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly management reports including variance analysis vs budget/forecast/prior year.

• Analyse financial performance across revenue, margins, operating expenses, and working capital.

• Identify key business trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.

Project Financial Management

• Support financial oversight of major projects, including project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking.

• Monitor project performance (budget vs actual), report deviations, and assist Project Managers to improve financial outcomes.

• Perform scenario modelling for project proposals, business cases, and investment decisions.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance, and reporting requirements for project financials.

Data & Systems

• Maintain and improve FP&A models, dashboards, and reporting templates.

• Work closely with Finance Systems or IT teams to enhance automation and ensure data accuracy.

• Contribute to the standardisation of financial processes and reporting tools.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with operational leaders to provide clear financial insights that guide decision-making.

• Present analytical findings to finance leadership, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.

• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting principles.

• Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.

Project Skills (Core Requirement)

• Experience managing or supporting financials for large projects or transformation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of project costing, revenue recognition, and financial controls.

• Ability to coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and ensure accurate project reporting.

• Skilled in risk identification, scenario planning, and financial impact assessments.

• Ability to work with cross-functional project teams (finance, operations, IT).

Behavioural Skills

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving mindset.

• Collaborative, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.

• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and FP&A processes.

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g.,

• SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Work Arrangement:

• On-site, Clark Office

• Day shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm
