Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction & Estimating

• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions
• Measure quantities and develop project budgets using CostX
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives

Tender & Documentation Management

• Administer tender documentation through Procore
• Prepare clear and accurate tender submission letters
• Ensure all estimating activities align with company processes and systems

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers during pre-construction
• Collaborate closely with project and operational teams on buildability and tender programs
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Support innovation, efficiency, and process improvements in estimating
• Share knowledge with team members and contribute to team development
• Maintain awareness of project risks, timelines, and cost controls

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Promote a strong health and safety culture aligned with company standards
• Adhere to all H&S policies, procedures, and training requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction legislation and local government regulations

Customer & Relationship Management

• Deliver high-quality service to meet and exceed client expectations
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners
• Address client concerns to ensure satisfaction and project success

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (Tier 2 projects preferred)
• Degree or diploma in a relevant field (required)
• Proficient in CostX (required)
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
• Solid budgeting, cost control, and commercial risk management skills
• Experience in tendering, negotiation, and subcontractor management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of Construction Contracts Act and Local Government regulations (preferred)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
