Roles and Responsibilities

• Create detailed SMP designs and work with the drafting team to produce fabrication drawings.
• Ensure compliance with AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100, and AS 4140.
• Produce 3D models, detailed general arrangements, and set-out drawings using Autodesk Inventor (preferred).
• Model as-built structures or equipment from 3D laser scanning data.
• Assist in preparing cost and time estimates for design projects.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other design professionals to deliver accurate and timely projects.
• Mentor and support junior designers/drafters within the team.

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years proven experience in SMP design projects.
• Previous experience on Australian projects is essential.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 1657, AS 3990, AS 4100 & AS 4140).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.

A Successful Candidate Must Have

• High attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate designs under strict deadlines.
• Solid time management and organisational skills.

Proficient With

• Autodesk Inventor (highly preferable).
• Microsoft Office applications.

Experience Advantage
