Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities

Manage bookkeeping for Australian clients using Xero, including day-to-day transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Prepare BAS/IAS statements accurately and on time.

Handle payroll processing in Xero; TANDA experience is a bonus but not essential.

Ensure all bookkeeping tasks comply with Australian accounting standards and internal policies.

Work directly with Australian-based managers to support smooth financial operations.

Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.

Identify opportunities for process improvements in bookkeeping and reporting workflows.

Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding financial matters.

Support audit preparation and respond to queries from clients or external auditors.

Use Dext (if applicable) to manage bills, invoices, and expense tracking.
Required Experience
-
3+ years of Australian Xero bookkeeping experience in a firm (5+ years preferred).

Experience with BAS/IAS preparation.

Payroll experience in Xero.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work directly with Australian managers.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Proactive and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
Experience Advantage

Dext expertise (ideal but not essential).

Experience with Karbon practice management software.

Prior experience in a global/shared services or client-focused environment.
