About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Consultant (ideally Sustainability or Mechanical Engineering background) with proven experience in energy modelling, Green Star or LEED certifications. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about sustainable building design and energy efficiency in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed energy modelling and simulation analyses for buildings and systems.
• Utilize software such as Better Buildings, Hero, IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or equivalent tools.
• Provide technical input into sustainable design strategies, including early-stage planning support.
• Interpret and communicate modelling results through professional reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project and sustainability goals.
• Ensure compliance with Green Star, LEED, and other environmental performance standards.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in energy modelling or building performance analysis.
• Proficient in tools like Better Buildings (Speckel), Hero, IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or similar.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting if required.
• Demonstrated project experience involving Green Star and/or LEED rating systems.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a consulting environment.
• Familiarity with building codes and additional sustainability rating tools such as NABERS or BREEAM.
• Experience contributing to Green Star or LEED Building projects.
